I deviated from the intended ride at that point. We made a few wrong turns, got lost, kept going, saw Sasquach, entered the worm hole and as you can see we arrived back at the parking lot I'm not sure how. At that point Steve gave me a lift back to my car. I think it was 16-18 miles total. I'm wiped out and on my way to an afternoon nap. We'll see about tomorrow.
See you at The Next Ride!
Ran into Brian at El Ranchero in Hagerstown this evening. He confirmed that he took a nap and that he's probably NOT riding Sunday. I wish it would just friggin' rain already!!!
ReplyDeleteRob was ride leader and he followed an older beginner Teaberry route which has since grown over. Also, the difficulty was two times anything on the current loop. But, I managed to ride all the way to Teaberry without stopping!! After that I stopped and pushed a few times just trying to catch Rob and Steve.
ReplyDeleteI also noted other trails that I'd like to check out sometime.
Susan and I went to Totem Pole Playhouse after dinner to see a show. This morning we're supposed to go to breakfast and then go to a 10:30 outdoor chapel service at Caledonia Cathedral in the Pines weather permitting. Never been there and its something I know Susan would enjoy.
Just got a close look at your map Brian. Wow! Wormholes on MBM rides. That's a feature I had not thought to include previously. We'll have to look into that.
ReplyDeleteFunny, we were at Totem Pole on Friday evening. Weather should have been good for the service at Caledonia Cathedral. Did you guys like that?
We did like the service. The guest speaker was very good, the old lady who sang was tolerable. We will go again.
ReplyDeleteAs for the ride, I was certain Rob had us just outside of Gettysburg. I kept telling them we were skirting Cashtown! I really had no clue were I was.
